About US
Belizean Joe and West Indian Tom (WIT) formed BP&CLDC After covid forced them to become friends and pool there expertise to provide an exceptional real estate buying, developing and selling facility in Belize and eventually the wider Caribbean. Raised in the Common Wealth Caribbean (English speaking Caribbean or West Indies), WIT has made Belize his primary residence for many years. After years of running physical businesses and non profit ventures in the Caribbean including manufacturing, conservation and tourism WIT is now a digital nomad who in his spare time explores the coral reefs of the world raising awareness and funding for their protection, realizing that many of the reefs he had grown up on were rapidly dying from pollution and poor tourism and fishing practices.
Belizean Joe has been an entrepreneur all his adult life; involved in manufacturing, business facilitation and real estate primarily, he realized the difficulties both Belizean's and visitors were having legitimately acquiring a piece of land to call home. He understands that Belize’s future depends on sustainable development which requires sound environmental and socio-economic practices. The two teamed up to assist in this effort while land was still affordable and not sold to the highest bidder as it is in much of the Caribbean today. Unlike traditional Realtors, we don’t just list properties but have a unique understanding of what people are looking for and how to still get land affordably in Belize. Though we get asked and list titled and developed properties as well, our strategy is to find local owned lands and offer fair market prices so there is a win win for locals and visitors alike. We also provide valuable experience in the real estate and development industry to avoid pit falls and keep costs reasonable. In short, we are a fair and honest company providing solutions to those seeking to buy, develop and sell real estate in Belize and the wider Caribbean.
Any successful conservation efforts require addressing root causes and in Belize this is poverty and corruption. Thus we chose to support the poorest of the poor through education and healthy upbringing so they can help lead the nation to a better future. Sound conservation and socio-economic procedures backed by effective law enforcement are also necessary to curb environmental and social destruction which fosters poverty. Thus we support the local and regional efforts by the organizations listed below. Following the motto Think Globally, act locally we also support regional efforts which ultimately affect the wider picture and Caribbean community as this is really one ecological and economic system that needs protection and sustainable development to survive. We cant pretend to do enough on our own so we hope by coming onboard with us as a client, friend, fellow conservationist and humanitarian that we can make a greater impact to protecting this amazing region and helping develop a sound economy. Even if you don’t end up doing business with us, please consider supporting these worthy organizations listed below by clicking on the link and finding out how you to can support this amazing region of Earth. Together we can make a brighter day. As the Caribbean proverb goes, “one one coco full a basket” made immortal by Bob Marley’s Wake up and Live; If we all do our part, give a little, then eventually a difference will be made, enough progress will result in effective change for better.
As a seasoned entrepreneur, Joe has learned the ropes, how to navigate the Belizean system to get through. While WIT has experienced the wider picture and understands the motto think globally, act locally. Like a boxer in the ring and his trainer watching from his corner they are perfect combination to make a winning team, Joe knows the ropes and WIT sees the wider picture. Join our winning team and help make Belize not only a good home for you but a better place for all who call Belize home.
As a Belizean, Joe is acutely aware of the essential importance of Coral Reef conservation. The Mesoamerican Reef System (MARS) or Mayan Reef is the life blood of Belize. It defines and provides for tourism, fishing and land formation and the economy of Belize to a large extent. Together with Amigo Tom’s experience globally with coral reefs as a prolific scuba diver and snorkeler and avid conservationist, the team also strive to support local conservation efforts to protect the MARS. As such, we give part proceeds to various conservation groups and charities to help Belize. Please see the links below to find out how you can help Belize and the wider Caribbean region.
